About Us

Keser Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a voluntary, not for profit, 200 bed facility founded to meet the special needs of its diverse community. The facility is situated in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, convenient to all public transportation and easily accessible by car or public transportation.

History

Keser NRC was originally founded as Aishel Avraham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The Founding Committee envisioned a need for Holocaust survivors to have a home to provide for them in their time of need. With this vision, Aishel Avraham was established in 1978 as a glatt kosher facility to meet the special requirements of this aging population. Throughout the years the facility was privileged to welcome and service dignitaries, renowned rabbis, politicians and very special ordinary citizens who came here to receive the high level of care they so deserved.

Keser Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

In 2005, the facility was upgraded to Keser NRC. Built on decades of medical and rehabilitative experience, Keser was ready to meet the special needs of its diverse population. Currently residents come from most prestigeous Manhattan and Brooklyn hospitals. Today, people in need of short term care or long term sub acute care, look to Keser as their home away from home. In addition to the state of the art rehabilitation programs provided for short term care residents, Keser provides special services for Alzheimer and demented patients.

Insurance

Keser is a Medicare and Medicaid provider. We also have contracts with many private HMO’S and long term insurance companies
